Centre for European Perspective (CEP), founded by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, assists the countries of the Western Balkans and other countries which share a European perspective, in their efforts to join the European Union (EU) by transferring Slovenian best practices, experiences and practical know-how.

 | Thursday, 08 July 2010 00:00 Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Slovenia granted a mandate to the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) to prepare and conduct Core Course for civil servants to be seconded in international civilian missions.
The Core Course, based on EU standards, will be held from 8 to 21 November 2010. It will cover six thematic areas - from general knowledge of civilian crisis management and the role of various actors in civil missions to the environment in which the missions take place, work on the ground, safety at work and management of stress.  | Wednesday, 07 July 2010 14:53 The Project Group for Research on the Diplomatic History of Central and South East Europe, Studia diplomatica Slovenica has published a new book by Dr. Ernest Petrič, "Foreign Policy – Basic Theory and Practice", which belongs to the Monographie series. Dr. Petrič has succeeded in bringing together his theoretical and practical knowledge about international relations in this new monograph, which has been reviewed by Dr. Andrej Rahten. The numerous challenges the world is facing today are themselves greatly affected by the global economic crisis, which has raised profound questions about our current economic and financial systems, subjecting the existing geopolitical arrangements to new consideration. Currently in its fourth year, the Bled Strategic Forum will be addressing many of these interdependent economic and geostrategic issues. The underlying theme permeating this year's event will be relations between the Euro-Atlantic community and Russia.
