Minister Zbogar expresses Compliments over Fifth Bled Strategic Forum

BSF2010_novicaSlovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Samuel Zbogar at today's press conference expressed his contentment over this year’s Bled Strategic Forum. Over 400 participants from 40 different countries attended this two-day forum, which, according to the Minister, represents a great success for the two main organizers – the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Centre for European Perspective.

Dr. Petrič has succeeded in bringing together his theoretical and practical knowledge about international relations in this new monograph, which has been reviewed by Dr. Andrej Rahten. CEP hosted the inter-ministerial working meeting on training for civil servants for secondments in the international civilian crisis missions

RA_srecanje_napotitveCentre for European Perspective hosted the inter-ministerial working meeting on the implementation of the Strategy for cooperation of the Republic of Slovenia in international civilian missions and training for public servants for secondments in the international civilian crisis missions. The meeting was intended for representatives of all Ministries of the Republic of Slovenia, governmental offices and bodies affiliated to the Ministries. Its main objective was to encourage participants of the meeting to second civil servants to the civilian missions and to participate in the training for civil servants for secondments that CEP will implement in October this year.

CEP is organizing second module of the project “EU Negotiations: Techniques, Skills and Content” for Macedonian senior public servants

Makedonija_modul2In Skopje started a second module of the project "EU Negotiations: Techniques, Skills and Content" organized by the Centre for European Perspective, Slovenia, in cooperation with the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia. The module is entitled "Negotiating with the European Union" and aims to improve the negotiation techniques of the Macedonian senior public servants that will play a decisive role in the Macedonia – EU negotiations in the chapter of taxation.

Slovenski_diplomatiAt the Centre for European Perspective (CEP), Jable castle a new book titled "Slovenian diplomats in the Slavic world" was introduced. The extensive work was published as part of the "Studia diplomatica Slovenica collection", issued by CEP, Scientific Research Centre SAZU and the Forum of Slavic Cultures. The book, which was published in three languages (Slovenian, Russian and Czech), is an important and meaningful work about certain Slovenians, who have proved as successful diplomats in the Slavic countries before Slovenian independence.

Study visit transfers Slovene good practices into Kosovo public administration

Kosovo8Centre for European Perspective (CEP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration of the Republic of Kosovo is hosting a study visit of seven senior officials from the Republic of Kosovo. The Personnel directors of the Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kosovo are being informed about Slovenian legislation regarding the internal organization and job classification system in public administration and are drawing up concrete proposals for the transfer of good practices into Kosovo public administration.

Fair of resemblance connected the young in Bosnia and Herzegovina

sajam_slicnosti_brckoOn Wednesday, 21 April, and on Thursday, 22 April, a series of events took place in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina to celebrate the Day of School of Vaso Pelagić Gymnasium and commemorate the 60th anniversary of this educational institution. The main event was the Fair of Resemblance, which was the implementation of the competition winning project from the Intercultural Challenge competition, organized by CEP.

Serbian boarder police on its way to the EU with the help of Slovene experiences

srbija_policijaTraining for Police of the Republic of Serbia titled “Creating an Ethical Working Environment” organized by the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) in cooperation and at the request of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia was successfully completed at the Academy of Criminalistic and Police Studies in Belgrade. This was the first in a line of trainings and workshops that CEP will organize for Serbian Police.
