International Humanitarian and Criminal Law – Application Deadline Open Until 5 September 2025
On 17 and 18 September, the fourth training on international humanitarian and criminal law will take place at Jable Castle. The training will be organized by POTC in cooperation with the Slovenian Armed Forces Legal Department.
The training is intended for legal advisers and is designed as a platform for exchanging opinions and perspectives on specific topics, which will be presented in advance by individual experts. This year’s edition will be held in cooperation with representatives from the Specialised State Prosecutor’s Office, the Faculty of Law of the University of Maribor, the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana, and the Institute of Criminology, and will be dedicated to the following topics:
- collecting evidence from battlefields,
- criminal law regulation of the use of force by the Slovenian Armed Forces,
- military chapters of the law of the sea,
- case studies from Gaza,
- legal aspects of warfare in outer space.
The training will be conducted in Slovenian. Participation is free of charge.
