Engagement within EUSAIR

Together with the EUSAIR Facility Point Lead Partner, CEP is holding different activities within the framework of EUSAIR by the end of July 2023.

EUSAIR (EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region) is a Macro-regional Strategy joining 10 countries striving to find solutions for common challenges in the common sea basins and its hinterlands. The Strategy joins EU Member states and non-EU Member states working together as equal partners.

One of the main challenges EUSAIR is facing is the low level of awareness and the overall issue of communicating EUSAIR’s achievements. It was for those reasons that CEP, in cooperation with EUSAIR Facility Point Lead Partner, organised EUSAIR Communication Academy in 2022.

Based on the positive responses and the additionally recognized needs of stakeholders the Academy will continue in 2023. EUSAIR Communication Academy 2.0, a 2-day communication capacity-building for different EUSAIR stakeholders, will focus on explaining complex and abstract issues in a simple, comprehensible, and persuasive way. The participants will gain the critical skills and tools to support them in effectively communicating EUSAIR to the relevant stakeholders and interested public. The Academy will take place on 5 and 6 July in Thessaloniki, Greece. More information here.

The aim of the contest is to promote excellence in journalism and recognize outstanding contributions that raise awareness about the EUSAIR and its role for the development of the region. More information on the EUSAIR Press Contest can be found here.

Besides EUSAIR Press Contest, CEP is also one of the co-organizers of a photo contest for youth FRAMES OF INSPIRATION – EUSAIR Through the Lens of Youth.

CEP is also offering assistance to EUSAIR Facility Point Lead Partner in developing mechanisms for youth inclusion in the EUSAIR’s decision-making processes.
