Fifteenth edition of the Bled Strategic Forum starts today

Bled became a setting of the 15th edition of the Bled Strategic Forum. The conference is being organised as a hybrid event, with a high-level segment taking place on-site while some discussions are being held online. This year, the one-day event will run under the title “Challenges and Opportunities in the Post-COVID–19 World; Neighbours – Regions – Global World: Partners or Rivals?,”

In addition to the familiar live-streamed sessions, a strong digital component of this year’s conference will open the possibility of online participation allowing to host speakers who are unable to travel to Bled in person and to stimulate virtual audience engagement.

Based on a joint assessment by healthcare professionals, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia declared the end of the COVID-19 epidemic as of 15 May, making Slovenia the first country in Europe to take this step.

The day will start with the Leaders’ Panel, followed by the Foreign Ministers’ Panel at Festival Hall. During lunch, a conversation with Mr Miroslav Lajčák, EUSR for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and Other Western Balkan Regional Issues will be held. The panels that follow will address European Security and Asymmetric Threats, Digitalization as the Driver of Economic Recovery in CEE, and the Future of Cyberspace.
