The project addresses strengthening of democratic institutions and transparency of Albanian electoral bodies. It focuses on ensuring transparency as an essential element of the credibility of the elections.

Concluded activities

Workshop in Tirana (Albania) – Preparatory event for election observation

Tirana (Albania) was the setting of a three-day workshop from March 26th to March 28th. The event was dedicated to representatives of non-governmental organizations, domestic observers and the professional public, who all contributed in a discussion leading to recommendations regarding the observation of local elections in Albania.

Election observation

Albanian local elections were implemented on Sunday June 30th. CEP experts were monitoring the activity of local organizations, who participated in the elections as election observers. CEP experts also conducted interviews with NGO’s participating in the project.
